Join me in the stunning surrounds of the Ashdown Forest, as we take a deep dive into the identification of native Fungi. Whether you are interested purely from a mycological perspective, or are hoping to find and eat culinary treasures, it all comes down to a good grounding in field identification techniques. We will touch, sniff, cut, and even learn how to safely taste as an aid to identification, and get to grips with how to narrow down fungi intofamilies and genera, and learn to identify some of our most common and well loved fungi to species. We will also learn a little about fungal ecology, habitats, and some amazing facts about how they interact with the world around them... I hope to leave you more confident, enthralled, and well and truely on a path to true myco obsession!
